Design Review

The goal of SEL has always been to identify the most cost effective design possible for our customers. SEL believe Value Engineering should be more than simply an exercise to reduce costs. Value, quality, maintenance and life expectancy are key factors we use to determine which solutions will best meet the needs of the project. Our engineers and design team carefully consider all aspects of the project when making value engineering proposals. 

Correct Specification

There are a number of reasons a design or product may be specified; The designer has experience with a particular product; The designer works with the specific manufacturer; A buyer has a preferred list of suppliers; Performance based specifications. When reviewing or proposing a scheme SEL is committed to; Identify a cost effective design; Produce a simpler solution; Optimise procurement; Ensuring products specified are fit for purpose.

Management

SEL are very experienced in the management of SuDS installations and can provide a valuable liaison between Engineer, Client, Supplier and Groundworker. Working closely with all parties mentioned SEL can coordinate all aspects of a SuDS installation, ensuring designs have buildability and are correctly quantified (taken-off), realistic budgets are produced, manage deliveries and labour, overcome 'design oversights' that become installation problems. This service can be invaluable on a complex installation such as a podium deck.

Installation

SEL have a very experienced, fully trained specialist team of site installation engineers, all of who have many years experience installing SuDS systems across the UK in all aspects of construction. They have invaluable experience of all membrane types (PP, LLDPE, HDPE). All works are undertaken with a commitment to best practice and under a strict Quality Assurance protocol as part of our ISO9001 accreditation. All our operatives are CSCS certified.
